4. Loong Guardian

This year is the year of my life at the age of 24, and it is also my ffrst time to set foot in the distant UK to study and live. Perhaps because of the traditional belief that this year brings bad luck, I have had a series of unfortunate events during this time. These frustrations became the source of inspiration for this project. In this illustration, I plan to show everything I experienced in the Year of the Dragon through vivid images. Every time I encounter difffculties, my zodiac dragon will appear and become my powerful guardian. This story is not only a record of my life and growth, but also a beautiful interpretation of the traditional beliefs of the Year of the Dragon. Through this illustration project, I hope to express my thoughts on persistence and growth in adversity in a unique way.
